What Is a Tibetan Singing Bowl?
A Tibetan singing bowl is a type of bell that vibrates and produces a rich, deep tone when played. Also known as singing bowls or Himalayan bowls, Tibetan singing bowls are said to promote relaxation and offer powerful healing properties.
Buddhist monks have long used Tibetan singing bowls in meditation practice. In addition, some wellness practitioners (including music therapists, massage therapists, and yoga therapists) use Tibetan singing bowls during treatment.
History of Tibetan Singing Bowls
Tibetan singing bowl may have originated in Tibet, China sometime around the 16th century BC. Traditional bowls were made of a variety of metals including mercury, lead, silver, iron, gold, and copper.
During the 1970s, people began importing the bowls to North America and Europe. They grew in popularity in the 1990s as a complementary and alternative treatment for a variety of ailments.

A few different theories have been proposed to explain why Tibetan singing bowls might be beneficial. Such theories suggest that:

निर्वाण अर्थात् सुखै सुख
सबै बौद्धका लागि सर्वप्रिय शब्द हो, ‘निर्वाण’। बुद्ध र बौद्धसँग सम्बन्धित सम्पूर्ण धर्मदर्शन तथा क्रियाकलापको तात्पर्य वा अन्तिम लक्ष्य निर्वाण मात्रै हो। बौद्ध धर्मदर्शनले दुःखलाई एक सत्य मानेको छ, तर त्यो शाश्वत होइन, शाश्वत केही छैन। जीवन प्रवाह भन्नु नै दुःख हो। बुद्ध र बौद्ध जगत्मा चासोका विषयमा पर्छन्– दुःख छ, दुःखको कारण छ, यसलाई निवारण गर्न सकिन्छ र अष्टांगिक मार्गलाई अवलम्बन गर्दा दुःख अन्त्य हुन्छ। अष्टांगिक मार्ग भन्नु नै निर्वाण मार्ग हो। दुःखको अन्त्य वा दुःखरहित भन्नु नै निर्वाण लाभ गर्नु हो।
चार आर्यसत्य र आर्य अष्टांगिक मार्ग
भगवान बुद्धले सबै मानव जगतको निमित्त, बहुजन हिताय र बहुजन सुखायको निमित्त दिनुभएको प्रमुख शिक्षा भनेको चार आर्यसत्य र आर्य अष्टांगिक मार्ग नै हो । चार आर्य सत्यको संकल्प नै बौद्ध दर्शनको मुल सिद्धान्त हो । अनी आर्य अष्टाङीक मार्ग नै एक मात्रा निर्वान सम्मा पुगे बाटो हो । आउनुहोस् अब म तपाईंहरुलाई स बिस्तार बताउने छु ।
के के हुन त ? चार वटा आर्यसत्य ?
(१) दु:ख - संसारमा दु:ख छ ।
(२) समुदाय - दु:खका कारण छन ।
(३) निरोध - दु:खको निबारण छ ।
(४) मार्ग - निवारण गर्नको लागि आर्य अष्टांगिक मार्ग छ ।
